Our fixed fee service offers you peace of mind from the outset
One offence, not-guilty plea – fixed fee £750 plus VAT and disbursements, (Disbursements will include Counsel’s fees £1,250 to £2,500 + VAT and Witness Summons of up to £100 per witness).
What is included in the service
- Up to 6 hours attendance/preparation for considering evidence, taking your instructions and providing advice on likely sentence.
- Drafting Plea and Case Management form.
- Attendance of Counsel at Plea and Case Management Hearing.
- Drafting Defence Case Statement (if required).
- Attendance and representation at a trial at the Magistrates’ Court – usually by Counsel.
- Taking statements from any witnesses.
What is not included in the service
- Instruction of any expert witness.
- Advice or assistance in relation to any appeal.
The key stages of your matter are based on the presumption that you will enter a not guilty plea and have a date for your hearing.
Key Considerations:-
- Hold telephone discussion with your solicitor to provide information on what happened.
- We will consider initial disclosure and any other evidence and provide advice.
- We will explain the court procedure to you so you know what to expect on the day of your hearing, as well as the sentencing options available to the court.
- We will conduct any further preparatory work, obtain further instructions from you if necessary and answer any follow up queries you have.
- You will be required to attend court at either 10am or 2pm (so morning or afternoon). Court listing at the Court will determine when this case is heard.
- We will instruct Counsel to attend court on the day who will meet with you before going before the court. We anticipate you being at court for 3 hours.
- We will discuss the outcome with you. If advice is required on appeal we will carry this out at an agreed additional cost.
